AWA Marine is growing and dynamic business involved in the Commercial Marine, Offshore Oil & Gas and Superyacht Markets here in Australia and Asia pacific region.

We are currently seeking to employ an experienced Marine Service Coordinator to join our growing team, with the possibility for future promotion into another role, with the position will be based from our Head Office in Melbourne.

This candidate will need to operate in a high-pressure environment, and have exceptional organization skills, as this person will ultimately be responsible for handling a high volume of emails and telephone calls per day.

This position will be responsible for the coordination of all AWA Marine Service Engineers for both Domestic and International Service Jobs onboard, and will report directly to the General Manager and National Technical Manager.

This employee will be responsible for overseeing all Service Activities from the initial job inquiry, quote, job confirmation, attendance onboard, review and handing over to Accounts.

This candidates Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Attend to All Service Inquires via Telephone and E-Mail
  • Organize, plan, coordinate all resources available to complete the job
  • Handle all inquiries and manage customer expectations
  • Quote to customers
  • Ensuring compliance with ISO and OHSAS quality guidelines and procedures.
  • Coordinating Field Service Engineers including Sub-contractors and other Service Companies
  • Spare Parts- Check availability and Raise Purchase Orders if necessary
  • Liaise Closely with Sales, Accounts and Suppliers
  • Logistics Management is extremely important
  • Make Travel Arrangements for Service Engineers- Flights, Hotels, Accommodation, Car Rental etc
  • Ensure timely job completion and updates are sent to the customers
  • Ensure proper completion of all documentation- E-Mail, Service Reports, Inventory Management, Purchase Orders,
  • Close Job for Billing and Invoicing to Customer

 Required Education and Experience:

  • At least 2-5 years relevant experience in Administration and/or experience in the Maritime Industry
  • Proven ability to manage, motivate and develop others
  • Able to interact with people at all levels
  • Exceptional Communication and Negotation Skills
  • Outgoing, customer oriented, and results driven
